Asheville Tours & Excursions

Driven by passion, fueled by adventure

Asheville Tours & Excursions was born from two powerful forces: our long-standing roots in the travel industry and the tragedy of Hurricane Helene that struck Western North Carolina in September 2024.

For over 25 years, our parent company, RSI Vacations, has been one of the nation’s leading wholesale travel providers—booking millions of reservations for hotels, resorts, cruises, and vacation properties around the globe. Enhancing vacations with tours and excursions has always been part of that journey, and for years we said to ourselves, “We should be in that business.”

When Hurricane Helene devastated Western North Carolina, the damage went far beyond homes and businesses—tourism, a lifeline for the region, was also deeply impacted. After helping with immediate relief efforts by supplying water, generators, and essential goods, we turned our focus to long-term recovery. For us, that meant helping restore the spirit of the mountains by bringing visitors back.

That commitment led to the creation of Asheville Tours & Excursions, with our first experiences launched in Asheville and Brevard. Through our tours, we aim to celebrate the resilience of this region while sharing its breathtaking landscapes, rich culture, and hidden gems with the world.

Scott Bridge

Vice President

After more than a decade of semi-retirement—and a decision to travel full-time in an RV to find my next home after 50 years on the beaches of South Florida—I received a phone call in March 2025 that changed everything. Two close friends asked if I’d come to Asheville, NC, to help them launch a new tour and excursion company. At first, I agreed to stay for just 30 days before continuing west.

But Asheville had other plans. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the Blue Ridge Mountains, the spirit of Appalachia, the project itself—and ultimately, the girl who would change my life. Though I had passed through Asheville many times on business or while traveling, this time was different. I saw the region through new eyes, and something shifted deep within me. It felt like I had finally found where I was always meant to be.

With decades of experience building travel organizations and sales teams, I realized my skills and passion aligned perfectly with this new venture. Today, Asheville Tours & Excursions isn’t just another chapter in my career—it’s the culmination of it. My greatest achievement and my future home, right here in the heart of the Blue Ridge.
